Camp Swim Instructor


About the Job

The Camp Swim Instructor must be able to…
-Teach swimming techniques, swimming strokes, and water safety rules to campers with varying swimming abilities.
-Assist more experienced swimmers to enhance their swimming abilities.
-Assess the progress of campers and adjust teaching programs accordingly.
-Monitor students to prevent accidents and injuries.
-Implement ground rules for each swim session.
-Plan swimming lessons that take into account campers’ abilities and progressive development.
-Identify incorrect swimming techniques and correct campers accordingly.

Qualifications
-Proven experience working as a Swim Instructor or Lifeguard.
-CPR, First Aid, and American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor or Basic Swim Instructor (BSI) certifications.
-Sound knowledge of proper swimming techniques and water safety rules.
-Strong swimming abilities.
-Excellent conflict resolution skills.
-Effective communication skills.
-Passionate and enthusiastic about working with kids 6-15.
