Caroline discovered a love of the outdoors at a young age during summers spent at YMCA Camp Widjiwagan in the Boundary Waters of northern Minnesota. After several years as a camper at Widjiwagan, she returned to lead backpacking and canoe trips as a staff member. Last summer she led Widji’s longest trip, a 6-week-long river expedition in the Canadian Arctic. She currently works at the Outdoor Academy, a semester school in North Carolina where she leads high school sophomores on rock climbing, canoeing, and backpacking trips. Caroline loves empowering young adults to discover they are capable of more than they expected and hopes to foster in participants a love of the natural world. She is excited to get to know a new camp culture and explore the New England wilderness.
