Kae Crowley Zaino

When not climbing rocks, scaling peaks, or sliding through birch glades, Kae Zaino can be found teaching Physical Education at St. Monica – St. Michael School in Barre, Vermont. She first came to CMF to lead trips in 2015 then took a two year hiatus to serve as Outdoor Program Coordinator for the Girl Scouts in Vermont.

Her love of wilderness tripping was solidified in college over the four years she spent guiding Girl Scout canoe trips in the Boundary Waters and Quetico of Northern Minnesota and Southern Ontario. Her love of the White Mountains and lakes of New Hampshire and Western Maine was solidified when she lived and worked in the Mountain Washington Valley, directing Tin Mountain Conservation Center’s Explorers camp.

Kae is thrilled to be spending the summer back in this region with the close knit community of Cragged Mountain Farm. The rest of the year, she lives outside the capital of Vermont with her husband, Bob, and their rabbit, Nosedive. When Kae ventures inside she enjoys writing, knitting, and yoga. She is always up for a headstand contest.
