What a Dazzling Day.
The moment first bell went off, we knew today would be a good day. The sun was shining, there were barely any clouds in the sky, and everyone was together at camp! With trips going out tomorrow morning, we wanted to spend all of Sunday playing together.
Specifics
All Cabins kicked back and sang songs during Sunday morning assembly — a mellow’er assembly than at night. A big thank you to Sam Southworth, a visitor and Cragged veteran, for guiding us through song and poem this morning.
With melodies still dancing in our heads we jumped in the vans and headed to Loon Lake! The sun is always brighter on the Cragged beach in the morning. After a swim, we had a delicious cook-out lunch on the grass!
Cragged Games 2017
In the afternoon, the Cragged Games started! Campers were split up into six teams and they rotated through three stations — speed crafts, thunder, and frisbee golf. Teams will be working together every Sunday trying to gain points by completing different tasks, challenges, and games. The team with the most points at the end of the summer wins an ice cream trip to Bobby Sues! If that’s not motivation, I don’t know what is. Our goal is to get kids outside being active, creative, and gaining team building skills.
Next week, the kids will be making tie dye team shirts. Stay tuned.
